Spokes' medium paced, Saturday morning rides, lead by Nathaniel Heller, start at 9:30am from in front of Spokes' store. This ride will cover distances averaging between 25-40 miles, at an avg pace of 14-17mph. This is a "no drop" ride, however, a road bike is recommended. Helmet required! Weekly gravel rides through Leesburg, two routes – one for 37 miles (2,100+ feet of climbing) and one for 27 miles (about 1,500+ feet of climbing). These rides will average 14-15mph for a 37 mile loop, and 12-13mph for a 27 mile loop. A bike with a minimum of 33mm width and some sort of knobby tires is highly recommended. Helmets are required.
