Village At Leesburg Expands Entertainment Offerings
The Village at Leesburg will hold its sixth annual Summer Block Party on Saturday, July 25 from 3 to 8 p.m. Admission is free.
The development has also added a free weekly entertainment program, named The Plaza Party—Where Your Weekend Comes Alive!, each Friday and Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
For the block party, the Village’s main street will be closed to traffic to accommodate carnival rides, festival food, beer gardens, sidewalk sales, merchant activities, art demos and games for children and adults. The event also will feature concerts by The Greenbeets, Newton’s Firnas, MUDLARK, and The Jamie & James Band.
New additions this year include live music and barbecue restaurant Smokehouse Live, Rita’s Italian Ice. Also, the renovated Village Plaza area with a pop-up fountain, daily bubble shows and a fire and water fountain is now complete.
The weekly Plaza Party will run through Sept. 26 and will be held in the Village Plaza. Events feature live music, a different theme each week, giveaways and games.
The remaining concert schedule is: July 24, Cross Kentucky; July 31, The Wil Gravatt Band; and Aug. 1, South Rail.
In the event of rain, the concerts will be held at Smokehouse Live.
